: The lodge was an excellent place to stay. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in the area. It is a 14th century building which oozed history. That being said the facilities were modern and the decor was really good quality. Would fully reccommend staying here.

: Very spacious accommodation - large living room with kitchen, large bathroom, and bedroom, with a wide corridor (steps up to the property). Characterful and wonderfully renovated. Woodstove was ready to go, and was very cosy. Kitchen well-equipped with nice utensils, crockery, dishwasher etc. A very tasty Genoa cake was waiting for us! Location within the grounds of the beautiful abbey gave it a nice cachet. There was car parking within the grounds. The host was fantastic, and a text away when we needed something. There is a coop nearby, but we preferred the farm shop a bit further.
: Location is right on the street with nearby pub. That said, noise levels were normal - pub noise was well within reason and not at all rowdy.

: I only have one thing that would have been an issue if my wife had come with me a she was supposed to, and that was the stairs, they were quite steep and my wife has bad hips and she would not have been able to climb them,, they are necessary to gain entrance to the apartment and there was no mention of stair in the description as far as I recall, Other than that, absolutely tip top, father Phil was great , nothing to much trouble PS I read a comment in the visitors book, it said , Im very surprised at the level of noise from the pub opposite , ( one of the reasons it was a good location for me ) and yes it was a little noisy on a Saturday nite , rod steward tribute guy so I went with the if you cant beat them, join them approach, it turned out that the more I drank the better he got,
