  : The hotel was on the central beach front, within yards of the old town and within easy access of the train station and the main tourist areas. The staff we interacted with were excellent ambassadors for the hotel. Open, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast serving staff, Marlene and Prathana could not do enough for us and made us feel special. The hotel has recently come under new ownership and the property has been refurbished to a very high standard. The room was very clean, comfortable and had sea views. The ambience in the restaurant was excellent, as was the food and service. The restaurant had a terrace with heaters that looked out onto the square at the central beach front which added to the pleasure of dining. Once again the serving staff made such a difference, especially Mario and the head waiter, a Brazilian gentleman whose name unfortunately I can not remember. The rooms were cleaned and the bed made up every day. The bathroom was roomy and practical with a walk-in shower.
  : There were wasn't anything to dislike. There were one or two things that could be done better but we put this down to the hotel having only recently re-opened and their operation needing a little time to bed in.
