Disappointing
Traveller Type: family with young children
  : The room was quiet and private and quite comfortable. There is a nice balcony to use at the rear, unfortunately we couldn't use any of the outside areas as it was raining during our stay.
  : The bathroom light automatically comes on when the door opens directly onto the room. A bad design with a family room. The radiator was turned up to maximum, the room was very hot, but I was able to turn that down and open the doors and windows quite easily. The meals in the pub were quite terrible. My wife couldn't eat her vegetable curry, which seemed to be a heated vegetable collection mixed into some sweet curry sauce. My "home made" meat lasagne did not resemble or taste like a lasagne. The kitchen is wide open to view from the dining room and you notice a considerable amount of microwave usage including the preparation of the lasagne. The breakfast selection was extremely limited. There were 3 cereals to choose from, white or brown bread and a request from the cook/chef who was the only person who appeared to be present at the Inn in the morning. There was no breakfast menu. An extra charge of £40 for 2 adults and 2 kids for this breakfast on top of an overnight stay was far too expensive.

  : staff were very accommodating of our late arrival
  : emergency light in the room was always on and bathroom had automatic light and skylight which came through a large window above the bathroom door and into the bedroom so was hard to sleep. Also paper thin walls meant any noise would easily wake you up

  : It was a very warm comfortable room, very quite, lovely river at back and lovely staff, I mean for £90 is cheap as we come from the South so normally can't find a place to stay for less than £100.
  : The bathroom was quite cold as no heater in the bathroom but didn't really bother us as the room was warm, in the morning we couldn't find a Member of staff so no one to give the key as we had to check out earlier so had to leave a message and leave the key in the room, we were also not given a emergency number incase we need anything in the eveing or earlier morning, there was only 1 loo roll pervided, the room could of done with a quick dust but I don't think the room had been used for a while.

  : difficulty checking in as we were arriving late and management not on site. initially they said we wouldn’t be able to access the rooms which created a lot of stress for tired travellers, but were persuaded to leave keys for us.
