  : Close to main bars, shops and the Pleasure Beach.
  : Some rooms better than others, example my room was cramped and unkempt. Whereas, my friends room was larger and clean - regardless of price paid. Strange damp smell, but for £50 for a night, not really much we could do.

  : The standard of the room I ended up in was actually quite good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was decent. In other circumstances I would be quite happy to stay there again.
  : I made a last minute booking at 8.45 pm and arrived at the door at 8.50. I had checked their check-in times before I booked and it said until 10 pm, so I thought I would be fine. I saw that the downstairs lounge was dark and closed and there was a sign up saying "no vacancies", and I got a bit worried. I rang both the bell outside and the bell on the inner door several times. Neither made any audible noise and nobody appeared. I phoned the number displayed on the door and it rang out and went to voicemail. I left a message. I rang a few more times, still no answer. By now I was seriously panicking and thinking the listing was a mistake or a scam. I started banging on the door, but not even any other guests appeared. The whole building seemed deserted. Eventually a bemused looking couple appeared, on their way out. I told my story and they said they had never seen anyone since they arrived. I asked if my room might be open and they said there were several rooms empty with the keys in the door. So I picked one at random. At this point I finally got a call back from one of the managers. He wanted me to move to the room I was supposed to be in, which I was prepared to do, but then the other manager knocked on my door, and he said I could stay where I was. He said he had just popped out to the shop and had not heard my calls due to "network issues". When I left next morning the place was still deserted, so I'm fairly certain the staff are not based on site. I can understand why they were freaked out by me being able to get into a room without them, but that's down to their sloppy management practices.
