  : Location is outstanding close to lake and village all within walking distance
  : With the larger room the back room doesn’t get the air conditioner so it was hot. No matter how cool the air conditioner it cannot cool the back room. Beds not very comfortable

  : I didn't like the smell in the rooms, it smells like junk. Uncomfortable pillows, pillows like a stone, a second sofa, or whatever it was, it was a horror.We need to update the blankets, bedspread and furniture.There are no complaints about sheets and pillowcases, they are clean. It's just that I was with two children and I didn't have the strength to look for other rooms anymore.

  : Good water pressure in shower - nice size fridge
  : Mattress caved in and my husband and I rolled to the middle so we didn’t get a good nights sleep for two daysPool was closed by city for too much chlorine in it so no pool all weekend in 100 degree weather - one of the main reasons we chose this hotel - they made sure to say no refunds or discounts once I checked in and after charging my card for the full amount of the room and seemed more concerned about me paying extra for my dog. Staff was unable to communicate nor apologize and seemed non communicative- language barrier perhaps. Just stared at me in awkward silence when questions were asked. Room dirty and tons of dust throughout - maid never came so our trash piled high and I had to empty trash myself. When I went to the office to request more coffee cups or stir sticks and to ask where I should put the trash bag and that the maid never came I was told dumpster is in back and again no apology or explanation was given. Pillow cases are quilt cover and very scratchy same as comforter- super outdated For what they charged us at 200 a night this was the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in Big Bear and we will never stay here again Literally there is not one good reason to stay at this hotel - do not stay here - fireside lodge needs a massive makeover and upgrade including getting a desk person who can communicate effectively - everything is outdated all the way down to the furniture and bedding And no smart TVs so only cable with commercials and no guide. We also blew a breaker when using AC and microwave at same time. No receptacle for dog waste or poop bags provided (thankfully I brought my own) but yet they say pet friendly and charge an extra 40 dollars for a dog. The railings walking down the stairs are rotted and will give way one day. No stir sticks for coffee in the room. It’s the little things that make a hotel great- they missed the mark on this one.

  : We loved the spa in the room, the location was excellent and overall a good choice for a short break in a gorgeous town.
  : We had an accident with the spa as soon as we arrived and water sprayed all over the floor. After we cleaned everything up, the towels were filthy so clearly the floor hadn’t been cleaned. There was hair left in the bath and the curtain rail fell down as soon as we tried to close the curtain.
