  : Large rooms and swimming pool outside. Bath towels and shower gel provided, Large shower. Comfortable bed with two pillows each. Swimming pool outside was clean and had lots of seating areas around. Lots of parking available and outside bike storage. Very quiet outside location despite being near a main road and nice dark rooms when curtains closed which is great if you don't like waking to the sunshine. Easy to locate. Good arrival and no waiting for booking in. We hired bikes for the Tarka trail and it felt safe to store bikes outside. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Staff were always polite and there are a variety of eating areas but we didn't eat here as exhausted after cycling all day.
  : The swimming pool has no covered area to place belongings. It was very lightly raining but we had to leave towels at the side with shoes as there was nowhere to place them, so they got wet. A pergola or parasol would be adequate. Only one double plug socket between us in the double room on the opposite side to the bed, so we had to unplug the TV to charge two phones. Stairs and corridors are extremely loud creaking to the point of being hilarious. One bedside light didn't work at all and the main lights were all on or none on, you couldn't put a small light on to make a coffee.

  : This hotel is in desperate need of a full refit (inside and out) it is in a good location near to Westward Ho… but I couldn’t stay here again

  : Rush to serve evening meal as a party of 8 was arriving. Food terrible, heated up, small portion. Bad service. Given room with 2 single beds.

  : Heated outdoor pool was great. Sure the door was hanging off the mainenance shed and there were no changing facilities, and you had to walk round through the car part to get there - but it was a good size, good temparature and the water was clean.
  : Bedside light had mirror tiles - one was chipped and cut my thumb when I tried to move it. The window was broken and bodged to back together with screws sticking out. The bath had tiles missing. The room lights were hidden behind the bedside lamp and difficult to reach (hence the need to move the lamp and finding the broken glass tile with my thumb). The teas bags and instant coffee supply was limited with a stirring stick, not a teaspoon and with a petty sign: "you can have more if you pay 5p per item". (And it wasn't replenished each morning.) The bath 'dial style' plug was broken and an old plastic replacement on a chain had been badly screwed into the mechanism. The curtains hung down in front of the window (which was on a slant) leaving a big gap at the side at the bottom - so the room was very bright first thing in the morning. The secondary lock inside the main door was broken and just spun.

  : Reminded us of Faulty Towers Hotel - they could make a mint if they turned it into theme hotel.
  : The weird mishmash of decor & lots of tired broken things. E.G sensor tap worked but at a 45degree angle & the shower hot & cold were reversed & bathroom door lock didn’t work.
