  : Excellent location near river in the forest. Large car parking lot. Popular place to visit. Very quiet, clean. Good food quality. Very nice personnel. River ferry stops right at property (when it runs). Nets on windows against insects.
  : None of negatives below significantly impacted our stay, but they do exist. Restaurant closes 21:00, nothing to do after that - a direct consequence of hotel being in remote and quiet place. Property closes and locks gates too, so no clear way to get in later (no intercom at the gate or even a clearly visible phone number to call security). You can use your room key, but they (and also key size) do suggest leaving keys in reception whenever you are away, so easy to get "stranded" after hours if you heed that advice. You can not really rely on any kind of public transport to reliably travel in or out on your schedule. Taxi or your car only. Rooms, beds, shower, TV are all functional but really pretty spartan. You kind of expect more after seeing great location photos. No AC. Breakfast food variety and quantity definitely can be improved - selection is not big and you kind of have worry that if you eat more (and quality IS great) then nothing is left for other guests. It is not a great cost vs guest comfort balance here. Receptionist is generally not at the desk nor there is a clear method (bell or phone) to call him in. You go to restaurant to ask for any assistance - and they do assist. No information about wifi passwords inside rooms if you forget to ask at reception as we did. Cellular signal coverage is not that great either, works ok in room and outside, not really inside restaurant. Communicating and finding info in English can be a challenging, but they do their best.

  : A very relaxed and provincial feel, considering this hotel is only just beyond the Berlin city limits. Nice location on the Mggelspree Canal, so if weather permits (which it luckily did for us) I recommend you take your meals (traditional German dishes) on the terrace right next to the water.
  : The hotel reception was closed and the main entrance locked, even though we arrived within the advertised opening hours. The restaurant staff was kind enough to let us in and alert the concierge, which did eventually show up to check us in. Not a big deal, just a bit odd.
