  : Please note we got upgraded from the 28m2 studio to the 67m2 deluxe apartment so expectations beforehand were based on the studio and we paid much less than normal price!Service: We are glad we were allowed to check in sooner and that on the day of our departure we were allowed to leave our bags at the Alpenresidenz a few hours longer due to our train leaving in the afternoon. Upon arrival we very kindly got upgraded from the 28m2 studio to the 67m2 deluxe apartment without paying extra. We did not ask for this but gladly took the offer. Lets say we were in absolute awe when we walked into the apartment. It definitely is deluxe, very spacious. It is one of the two rooms on the top floor, so it has a kind of penthouse feel and has a stunning view over Bad Gastein and the mountains behind it. Keep in mind that we expected an average small studio so our impressions are a little biased. The deluxe apartment is great for a longer stay.Location: The walk to the train station, eurospar supermarket and cable car is only 20 minutes and the chairlift also takes only half an hour to walk to (if you go through the town the climb up is a little intense). The mountains are absolutely stunning, we recommend you at least visit the Stubnerkogel for the view. There is a tourist office on the corner of the street which is very convenient. The town center and view over the main waterfall is also very nearby.Bathroom: The bathroom has a nice shower and some small soap bottles are provided which was nice.Kitchen: The kitchen was complete, with a kitchenette and even a dishwasher. Enough pans, plates and cutlery.Rest of the room: There is a smaller tv at the end of the bed and a large smart tv above the dining table. We enjoyed eating dinner on the couch watching our favorite series on this large screen very much. The couch is large and very comfortable. You can not enter the balcony for safety reasons.We did love our stay and would definitely recommend the Alpenresidenz.
  : Despite the room being so luxurious we have to deduct some points for a few reasons: Bathroom: The bathrooms non-luxurious look contrasts with the luxurious look of the rest of the apartment, it was perfectly fine for us but I can imagine if you pay full price for the apartment that that may be disappointing. The main negative point about the bathroom is that the sliding door that separates it from the rest of the apartment does not close fully. It leaves a pretty big gap through which someone who is sitting on the couch can see the person in the shower. This was rather uncomfortable. Kitchen: The induction hob has two zones which is not much but does the job. Windows: While the room has a lot of nice windows that provide a nice view and bring lots of light in the room, these windows have no blinds. The square windows of the doors to the balconies do have blinds, but the windows in the roof do not. And the large strip of window next to the bed also does not. The sunlight beams straight through in the morning, and if you are unlucky the light of a full moon can also seem awfully bright because of this. If you do not wear a sleep mask or crawl under the covers this light will wake you up when the sun rises (early). We would have loved to give a higher score but because of the very inconvenient and rather annoying abundance of light in the morning, combined with the bathroom door leaving a gap, we can not. Especially taking into account that the normal price for the deluxe apartment is much more than what we paid so you would not expect things like this.

  : The room was great, good in size with big tv, we had a 2 room apartment with kitchen which is well equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel also has escalator which helps a lot for the baby stroller, but not fit for a big one
  : The bed sheet is not too clean, the lights looks cool but sometimes sparkling. They dont have pirate parking spaces so can only park on the street close to the hotel
