  : Beautifully restored monastery, apparently 800 years old, in the heart of the Catalonian countryside. Comfortable rooms and decent shower. There's a restaurant on site where we found the service a little slow, but the food was pretty good. Decent breakfast.

  : A wonderful building with easy access from the main road but in a quiet rural location with plenty of free parking. The electrician, room cleaner and English speaking receptionist were all really friendly and helpful.
  : Dinner overpriced with undercooked chicken which I had to send back to the kitchen, breakfast had no cereals and a plate of half a dozen different cuts of processed pork which was uncovered and wasteful. The staff aeemed to be unaware of food safety and presentation. We were told the main door would be open until 11pm but at 10pm it was closed so we had to enter by a rear door with a code. Neither of our key cards worked in our room door but there was an emergency number to call at the desk. The manageress answered and was very impatient and irritable, refusing to listen to me and repeating one word in English "Box, box". Eventually I located spare keys in a drawer behind the reception desk. The following day I needed the emergency number again but at 9.30 pm nobody answered despite 3 or 4 attempts. On the first morning the electrician had to come as neither of our bedside lights worked. The curtains were double and very heavy and so we couldn't keep the windows open. Some staff appeared by their behaviour to have had little training in hospitality and the need to make guests feel welcome.
