  : Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choices. The dinner choices were good. Wine choices were varied. The staff were very helpful. Our day trip by car to Guimaraes was a highlight of our time in Portugal. The time we spent in Porto was enjoyable on a Sunday afternoon, but the city was crowded.
  : The resort is a little isolated. Going for a walk was a little challenging once you left the property. No sidewalks on local roads. The wine tasting we attended was very well conducted but the wine itself was underwhelming.

  : Its a really superb place to spend two days lazing around. The spa is great, the restaurant and wine experience is great, they have 2 pools and the rooms are in the middle.of the wineyards so lots of walks possible. It's lush, green and a great way to spend time relaxing
  : It's an expensive stay but if you are in the mood to splurge, it's a great experience

  : I liked the uniqueness of the property and the sheet beauty of the landscape. Perfect place to unwind. The rooms were incredible
  : I didn't have a great experience with some of the experiences offered to me at the property. If I could take back any experience, it would be the Monverde Explorer package, which was just a lunch on the patio and there really wasn't much of a tour of deep dive into the property that I thought there would be.

  : Beautiful views and accommodation, the grounds are immaculate and facilities looked good
  : The service, we spent 1 full day there having all 3 meals at the restaurant. Each time wed have an issue with the service:1) We would always have to wait 10minutes or more before someone comes to ask us for water or even provide menus. 2) They would always get the orders wrong3) At one point a wait staff named Bruno gave me a Timeout sign when we needed to order4) The chef managed to give us the roughest cut of Rubella Galicia veal steak - in which we had to send back with 90% untouched - yet they still wanted to charge at the end of the bill5) The wait staff even told me to just pick the shrimps when I wanted prawns - because they were just the same thing6) I ordered tacos and I got fish fingers instead, when I asked the wait staff - they just shrugged and said yes its not the sameTruly a misleading statement to say they are a 5* property when they can only deliver 3* serviceOnly exception is Joo and Launa who tried their best to make up for their less exceptional colleagues. As well as the receptionist who tried to accommodate for our room change. However, would highly not recommend staying here - there are much better places for the same price point
