  : We had booked three rooms for family and friends. Rooms are small and have the feel of hostel rooms: no water kettle, fridge, or coffee maker. Slow elevator, so we got used to taking the stairs. We heard the neighbors TV from 6:30 in the morning. The waiting lines for the prepaid breakfast were 45 minutes, so we skipped that and went into town each morning. They punished us for booking through Booking.com by refusing to remove the half-board we accidentally booked for our sons room. The hotel has no A/C but could not provide any fans either during a heat wave over 30 C. So we had to keep the windows open at all times, letting us hear the drunks walking by on the public promenade. All restrooms are locked, and you are out of luck if you forgot your room key. The staff was hit and miss, some being really lovely and others being outright mean, like the gentleman who suggested our son should eat alone. The overall value was horrible, and we will not stay there again.

  : Check in was the worst I have ever experienced. the lady at the reception didn't want to check me in half an hour before the time. And there was no discussion, despite the fact that I have a 3-month baby. when i came back at 4pm there were at least 20 people there. I have never experienced something like that. It was a disaster. WiFi in the room doesn't work. Couldn't regulate the temperature in the room for my baby. Plus other things.

  : We've liked the la carte restaurant Gynt's very much. Not only for the quality of their food but even so for the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Quite the opposite of the desk office lady. She can certainly learn from these people how to conduct business in a proper and fluid manner.
  : We've paid a surcharge for seaview. Being on the 3rd floor you have the entire treeline in sight with a very small view of the sea (see annexed photograph). This is a rip off. Credit note would be in order. The hotel clean as it might be, is not that modern. I think I've paid too much for less value. Not even to mention if I would have booked a second day, prices would have gone up to 260 a night for the same room with breakfast which is completely off the mark. For that amount I reserve far better hotels.Extra tip for the hotel: they have moved their lobby to the 1st floor which is a kind of a pity there the initial lobby is still present at the main floor and which shows a lot more grandeur. On the site of it you have the e-check in, which stands completely lost at the window and therefore less noticeable for the customers. Some of them did not even know of its existence. English language is poorly spoken by the staff which is a pity. Desk office people and especially the tall all young lady should be better trained in friendlyness, customer orientation. I've missed the international touch a big hotel should have. Bathroom is clean though old fashioned.
