: Everything about this hostel is amazing - you've got the most incredibly caring and kind staff who bend over backwards to help you out when they don't have to and that really stood out to me. They learn your name and remember their longer term stayers, which makes such a difference. There is a bus stop directly outside, however, I prefer walking into town, which is very doable and while maybe a bit of a hike for some, I found it super beneficial. The dorms are pretty clean, guests friendly and there is a decent sized kitchen to make your own food/store your own food, which is always good in a hostel! You can also wash and dry your clothing, which I am super glad about. Sainsburys is less than a ten minute walk away with takeaways around the same area and the train station just a little up the road. Hostel has a good vibe, the bar has a good amount of drinks for anyone interested and just overall, a fantastic place to be!
: Being that this is an older (historic?) building, the stairs - some of them are quite steep, but that cannot be helped! The water in the shower can turn from warm to boiling hot within seconds, but again, that is most likely because there are many other people turning taps on in other parts of the hostel, so can't be helped. Minor things though!
