Poppy Lodge Sherborne

  : Great location for visiting family in Sherborne and Bristol. Not far off the A303. Had the weather been better then this would have been a lovely place to start and finish walks. Due to travel delay (channel ferry) we arrived far later then expected but this wasn't a problem. After a quick phone call alternative arrangements were made but the hosts still came out to welcome us when we arrived at 19:00. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were a bonus for us. There was plenty of cupboard space not only in the bedrooms but also the kitchen and extra storage in the hall. . The kitchen had enough crockery and cooking gear for guests. Plenty of parking outside the lodge. The lodge was warm and welcoming and the nods to the name, Poppy Lodge, were fun. The garden and terrace looked lovely - places to enjoy in the summer. The eggs from the chickens were delicious ;-) We will certainly return to Poppy Lodge in the future.
  : No dish washer (my fault for missing this but no big deal to wash up!) or hair drier just remember to bring the latter when you come.
