  : Though our room was compact- it was very Clean and the bed very comfortable with all amenities to hand. Appreciated the games/ reading lounge area and wealth of information on the area that was shared with us before our stay.

  : Beautiful interesting character home. Really enjoyed hearing a little history of the house on arrival. Super outdoor area and lawned area to relax. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

  : There was nothing about Chapter house that I liked. The house, the room/bathroom, breakfast were serviceable but extremely over priced for what it was. The bar area, bartender and wine selection were poor. I was fully expecting an old house, with charm, friendly staff and a very comfortable room with high quality linens, towels, pillows. I got an old house lacking charm, a bartender who charged me $18 for a half glass of poor quality wine (and then walked out and never returned), and a breakfast of yogurt and danish. I'd never go back.
  : Everything. 15-20 minutes to get an Uber. Location on a busy street and nothing within walking distance. 10-15 minute drive to nearest restaurant. Air conditioning that was struggling to cool my room (it was a very hot day to be fair), staff that all seemed to stay tucked away in the kitchen, eating breakfast alone in a dining room where nobody bothered to come out and clear plates from tables. Nothing charming about Chapter House.

  : The property is located in a beautiful part of the Cape, in a residential area. It has a beautifully manicured garden, and well-maintained outdoor facilities. Acceptable room size.
  : The overall standard of the rooms was disappointing. Air-conditioning units are ancient and extremely noisy. Breakfast is very poor (muffins and juice/coffee on the go, as there is no breakfast room). Staff go through the motions, but seem largely uninterested. Only food available at hotel is canned fish (?!) - be aware in case you arrive at a time when neighborhood restaurants are closed.
