  : Breakfast, although at additional cost, was very good, with plenty of choices, excellent French press coffee and herbal teas, and special touches, such as the delicious chef-made jam and artisanal rye toast. Complementary Keurig brewing was provided in the rooms. We enjoyed chatting with other guests over cocktails in the library, without the distraction of television. Innkeeper Mara was very congenial and accommodating, and was readily available for information, or other requests. The chef, Jev, apparently has established a reputation because we were unable to reserve a place, having not done so in advance. The accommodations were clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed. The property and outdoor facilities were well-maintained, and provided a pleasant country setting on the banks of the river. For a deserved tourist destination, the price was reasonable and comparatively modest - overall, an excellent value. For daily fare to-go, don't miss the nearby farmer's market.
  : The room size, although limited, still had space for a queen and twin beds. For a historic, former farmhouse, nothing was unexpected, although for handicapped folks, the stairs might be a consideration.

  : Location on the river and only a short drive into Woodstock. The building had lovely, quirky rooms and layout.
  : Lack of complimentary items such as coffee, shower gel, shampoo. This is the only place in New England I have stayed in the last 2 weeks (6 properties) where there was a charge for such items. Only the first coffee was free.

  : The location was on a main highway and it was extremely noisy. We were expecting more of an 1800s B&B vibe. The room needs more period furnishings and decor. It looks like the last time it was updated was in the 1990's.
  : The name lead us to believe that it was all about the history of the structure and the covered bridge. We didn't know that it was more about the gourmet dinning experience. I guess we should have done more research.

  : The property & room wasnt worth the rate. Nothing was included, breakfast was additional, kurig pods in the room was extra it felt like we were getting nickel & dimed for every penny.

  : The common rooms are among the best I have ever experienced! So welcoming. Real fire burning on the bar side and absolute relaxed coziness in the library. Close to ski resorts and more affordable than other nearby locations.
  : Its an old building, so expect oddly shaped rooms, uneven floors, etc. Every room has en suite bath but the shower is TINY. Road noise from 18-wheelers passing by during night. I think the art in the rooms could be drastically improved. It looked like junk from TJ Maxx when there are so many talented local artists they could collaborate with and exhibit. Travelers need to coordinate their arrival with the innkeeper bc theres not always staff on site.

  : False description. Said it was tranquil with views. Side of the main highway. Wagons passing all day and night. Could not sleep
  : The owner was very rude arrogant and inflexible when we aired our concerns

  : A lovely location set by the river. The property has a large patio with relaxing chairs overlooking the river. On our first day we enjoyed a drink from the bar sitting outside. We would've liked to have spent some more time there but the weather wasn't good. We didn't have the breakfast available as we don't usually eat much in the mornings but a great option for those that do. Staff and owner both friendly and helpful.
  : Our room (the only room with two beds I believe) was a bit short on drawer/hanging space. We had travelled from the UK with large suitcases on a 2 week tour. We had to keep most of our clothes in the suitcase. We appreciate that older homes converted to B&B's cannot always meet these requirements.
