  : The hotel is situated in the center of Winston-Salem, making it an excellent location for leisurely strolls and enjoying the neighborhood. The rooms boast lovely interior design and offer comfort. The gym is well-equipped and has plenty to offer. The bistro food is delicious.
  : There wasn't much I disliked, except that there was a fee for TV watching and the bar was too bright and less cozy.

  : Location was very central to city activities. Staff was very pleasant and supportive. Generally seems like a decent venue.
  : We did not get the rooms we booked, and the fallback option did not serve us well. We booked two adjoining rooms over a month in advance for adults and twin toddlers, and called 6 and 5 days before arrival to confirm. Upon arrival we were given neighboring rooms with a small private hallway separating our rooms rather than our booked adjoining rooms; so, rather than having the toddlers across the hallway on their own, we had to switch to a larger single room with a pullout bed. The pullout bed was very stained, and also very uncomfortable to the point where we had to sleep on pillows on top of it. Additionally, we had to wait a long time for sheets only to receive sheets too small resulting in us just pulling some sheets off one of the queen beds for use on the pullout so we could get the kids to bed (already very late given the room swapping and sheet delays). The staff was really supportive through this, however, not getting what was booked and confirmed changed the course of our stay making for a much less pleasant overnight. This otherwise seems like a nice place to stay.

  : Nice old looking building! Big nice bathroom! Some staff was nice and friendly some were stuck up and acted like they didn’t care about their chosen career.
  : Under the bed was completely nasty! You could see the line where they stop vacuuming! It’s not what you want to see when you spend 300$ a night and it was very expensive for such a small room! Same size rooms at the Hampton and holiday inn for less

  : So cool! Great art deco throughout. Nicely appointed. Great coffee bar in the lobby sitting area.
  : Guidance about parking nebulous - we self parked and yet got tagged for valet parking. Front desk took care of it. No coffee available in Essential King rooms -
