  : Comfortable bed and pleasant interior design of the bed rooms and the pub downstairs
  : We booked a superior double room. The first room provided to us was a double room with only enough space each side for a bed side table. The description also said a desk and coffee making machine was provided ( this applied to all bedrooms). They were not. We were moved to another room. This was much larger. There was a desk but no coffee making machine ( a cafetiere was provided but barely enough coffee for one cup but it's not a machine( the photos of the rooms on Booking.com do indeed show a Nespresso mc). The shower hose for the hand held shower was broken in two. (There was a working drench shower head),There was copious dust accumulation on the wood panelling and floor behind the bed. It was the same between the wardrobe and the wood panelling. Also dust in the desk tray. Breakfast was a continental hamper. There was no mention of this in the blurb. Apparently no chef Monday and Tuesday we were told (also told this should change soon) . No butter or jams for the two croissants. The extractor in the bathroom didn't work and the cover was dusty (most hotels never seem to have a cleaning regime which addresses this:why? ). No light bulb in reading lamp. Finally, as we were driving to the hotel we received a phone call at 7.15pm to say that the pub closed at 8pm. By good fortune we were 15 mins away but there was no mention of this when we booked. Had our plans been different who knows how this would have been resolved.

  : Room looked nice, staff friendly. Bed comfy.
  : No cold water in shower, no handsoap, bath stuff or shampoo. No bin in room. No water. Breakfast was croissants in foil, carton of milk, juices and fruit, nothing handmade. Stain on bed sheet, bath cleaner under bath. No one around to check out. Had to give key to another guest do they could put on bar. No food as they stopped serving food at 4. Also single glazing so noisy.

  : The staff were fantastic the breakfast I only had croissant but my husband had the full cooked breakfast and he said it was the best hes ever had so high praise indeed. The warm cosy feel to the bar with candles lit and a lovely fire lit very cosy and welcoming.
  : My only complaint is the fact the bedrooms are designed I think by a man! There is no dressing table nowhere for us girls to do our make up and hair. The only way I could do my hair was to have an extension cable going from the bedroom to the bathroom which in all fairness is really quite dangerous..
