The Rosefield

Pleasant

: the owners were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was good. Good location within easy walking distance of seafront and shops. The room was spotless with good supply of tea, coffee, water and biscuits. nice good quality towels
: no sink in the toilet, didnt think that was hygienic. also didnt like the sink in the bedroom with no mixer taps and the single bed was right next to the sink. some of the furniture and decor very dated and rickety. not very good hairdryer kept switching off about 5mins due to overheating. bed very hard with what felt like the springs of the mattress coming through. Room a lot smaller than the actual photos shown on the website and didnt think it large enough for three adults or even two adults and a child. Room got very warm. Wifi connection wasn't great connection at times poor

: Hosts very friendly and accommodating. Room was fresh and very clean. Bed was very comfy as it was a new mattress. Breakfast was superb.
: Room did not have an en suite but the owners did not let the other bedroom. So it was not shared with anyone else - just not in the main room.

: The hosts were incredible! I felt like at home. They were very accomodating and helpful. Couldn't ask for more. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfy. The WiFi worked well and we had yummy breakfast each morning, really pleased.
: Some of the fabrics and furniture in our room smelled a bit damp. It wasn't jarring in anyway but if I would come close to it, for example, to open the window or pick something up from the floor, you can tell there is a bit of a smell. Might be worth replacing them!

Disappointing
Traveller Type: Traveling as Couple
: Nice breakfast, comfy bed, no stairs to climb, friendly hosts and very clean.
: This was advertised as a 4 star hotel, it is in fact a guest house(get your facts correct booking. Com) No garden, no lounge or common area, no bar. No shelf in bathroom and shower cubicle, no toiletries supplied(we used hand-wash) No shaving point, water in shower was scalding hot, had to run it (what a waste) for ages to be able to stand it. The property is not 5 minutes to the beach, More like 15 at a steady pace. We won't be going back
