  : The bed was excellent, facilities were everything you needed, just not enough of them (1 packet of biscuits, 2 milk) etc...
  : Towels were too small (not bath sheets). Mold in shower and on shower heads. Needed tidying up with a paint brush. The pictures gave it a false truth.

  : Beautiful hotel in the process of being fully renovated. A little dilapidated in places but has bags of charm. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff both day and night were so friendly yet professional and helpful. They found me a room for an extra night at short notice.If done right, this hotel has the potential to be brilliant.
  : A bit dusty in the 2 rooms I stayed in ( dust webs), maybe a little more attention to detail and a better finish, and a non-slip bath/shower mat in each room. Trying to have ultra modern rooms in a listed building doesn't quite work. Had 2 great nights sleep in one room, but not in the second, mattress seriously in need of replacing! But then the hotel is a renovation in progress.....

  : Staff is all warm, hard working, especially Ian (probably the hardest worker of all). Manager friendly and charming.The menu is good, and the food is beautifully presented.
  : Stajr carpet needs repair/replacement. Generally, fixtures and fittings are being out performed by the staff.

  : The building is stunning from the outside. Inside, however, it needs work. I'm presuming it is being renovated currently, but I would have thought they should tell you this. If it is not being renovated, then it's in a sad state. It's such a shame. The room we had was actually OK. A good sized room. Clean. It was the hallways and communal areas that needed work. I've read reviews from 2017 that say the carpet was worn out. Time to spend some money. The staff were nice. The bar area was really unwelcoming, very bare. Again, I'm presuming they are in the process of doing the place up.
  : The room was way too hot, but comfortable and a good size. Very tired. The reception area was a shambles. Sad when the exterior of the building is gorgeous. I was expecting a cosy, old charming bar and reception area. I didn't get it.

  : The location was ideal for what I needed, the room was clean, tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.
  : No food available on the night due to staffing issue.

  : I was very happy with my visit. Our room was lovely and spacious and decorated nicely. I thought it was a really nice touch that they included a little fan in the room as the weather had been warm. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and was accommodating with me and my partner due to returning to the hotel late in the evening because of a wedding we were attending. We had plenty of tea making facilities, and I would highly recommend staying here.
  : I was very satisfied with my stay, and have nothing to negatively comment on.
