  : Location right in the city center, perfect. Parking spot with it, excellent. Restaurant adjacent, bit expensive but exclusive, also good. People at the reception, helpful and capable. Second day, after just one night reservation, the immediately helped me change rooms. Very pleasant stay.
  : Not much, except for the line at the breakfast room; too much old folks (no offence) talking a long time understanding the process, not waiting their turn, and so on. Personnel was doing their best to accommodate. And this was a weekend day, Sunday morning in August.

  : As other reviews note, the location is perfect. The room was clean.
  : My room was a "deluxe" double in the annex building. No air conditioning, no safe, no fridge, no coffee/tea/hot water kit. The doors to the rooms in the annex all face the outside, US motel style. If you're after quiet night's rest, this would not be the room for you. One window overlooked a small pedestrian alleyway with a restaurant and the other window overlooked a side door to the hotel's kitchen as well as a bit of the hotel's courtyard. Renovations to the room must have been relatively recent because it still smelled of off-gassing from the finishes, adhesives, etc. The design of the room was poor with loads of useful space taken up by a puzzling amount of useless shelving. There was a small work surface, but the nearest power outlets were strangely located on a wall a couple of feet behind a row of wooden slats. The carpeting featuring the words of Goethe was the perfect definition of kitsch. The bathroom was tiny; you needed to close the door to get into the shower. I measured the shower at 75 by 75cm, barely big enough to turn around, let alone reach down. No place for your shower amenities and no place around the sink for your toiletries. While not rude, my interactions with the front desk staff were far from warm or gracious. Unfortunately, of the seven hotels and holiday apartments I stayed during this trip, the Erbenhof ranked at the bottom and I wouldn't book the hotel again.
