  : Location was excellent only a 10 minute walk to the train station and very quiet even though we slept with windows open.Quirky property and decor.Room was clean and the bed was comfy.Food in the bar was excellent especially the steak pie.Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough.Good quality and tasty breakfast.
  : Kettle needed updating so we didn't use it. We told the receptionist and it wasn't an issue.

  : The rooms are a bit dated , which didnt bother me ,very clean ,comfy bed . The breakfast was really good and staff were very pleasant. I would definitely stay there again ! Car park not very big ,but I managed to get a parking spot . Theres a council car park right next door to the hotel .

  : Friendly greeting and an upgrade as it was a quiet night when I stayed, I was greeted with a 4 poster bed and a jacuzzi bath This is the second time I have stayed here and both times in different rooms, they are all lovely, clean and tidy. Each room has a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, TV and lots of storage space. The bar is small but has a good atmosphere, nice sun garden out the back and the breakfast in the morning is so good!
  : Maybe a bit of an upgrade for some of the electrical items, for example the hairdryer is wired into the wall and it would be much easier if it could be moved around. No biggie really as it does the job, but would be an extra ease.

  : The staff work very hard, and have particularly charming and helpful manners. There is a very pleasant view from the dining-room, and an especially charming terrace.
  : Bed was a bit hard. It's an old building, which is part of its charm, and the furnishings are correspondingly venerable, but stuff mostly works fine. In our room there was a tap which came to pieces when you touched it -- nice old antique fitting, but not at all solid, however it also worked. The hairdryer is plumbed into a wardrobe, so to get it out far enough to use it in front of the mirror is not an easy job. All very atmospheric, but amiable.
