  : This is an appalling apology for a B & B. It was extremely expensive and not worth a tenth of the cost. We were greeted by a sign on the door of a wooden shack, redolent of a run-down holiday camp, say ing we had to get back in the car and head for a hotel to pick up the key. There the member of staff we spoke to suggested we had not paid, which was untrue as I had gone to a great deal of trouble to make and electronic transfer from my bank in London, two weeks previously, as they refused to accept credit cards from non-Danes. All this was communicated in Booking.com messages in Danish with no option of any other languages. Fortunately my wife speaks Danish and we could understand, but this would be difficult for others. A general unhelpful, anti-foreigner attitude before we got there and just dreadful accommodation when we did. This place cost only 10 euros a night less than the very grand and luxurious Royal Hotel in Aarhus where we stayed the next night and about 50 euros more than the wonderful apartment we stayed in Aalborg the night before. We have never stayed anywhere so poor and that is before you consider the outrageous cost. Breakfast in the hotel was the only plus point.
  : Everything could have been better. Warning; do not stay in this dreadful place. A dreadful advertisement for Læsø.

  : The Havnebakken B&B is a typical Danish B&B, that is, different from those in the U.S., but quite nice. For a small additional fee, one can purchase a really good, complete breakfast, ranging from fresh fruits and yogurt to Danish, rolls and cheeses and lunch meats. The sheets and towels were included in the price of the cabin, equipped with a sink and near the restrooms/showers. The property does offer some rooms with bathrooms, but none were available when we booked. It is on the island of Læsø, which is beautiful and manageable on bikes, which is how we traveled.
  : We were not aware check in was at the Havnebakken Hotel, close to where the ferry comes in. We arrived at 6:10 p.m. & biked to the B&B to find that reception there was only open from 8 - 11 a.m. Other guests told us about the check-in at the other building - the Hotel. After the fact, we received an email from Havnebakken telling us about this procedure.

  : It was called a Bed and Breakfast but breakfast was not provided. Actually except for the first day I saw no one there. There were no sheets or towels. Had to walk down to hotel to request them. No one told or gave me the password info. I was just sort of left there with no one to even speak with.
  : Other than the peace and quiet...there was not much I liked.
