  : It is the perfect location in Venice. I love the quiet "campo" in front of it, and the possibility to use the garden and coffee at the other hotel of the same owners, with a magnificent garden overlooking the Canal Grande.

  : The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect - 5 minutes' walk from the train station and minutes from Venice's main attractions yet in a quiet square with amazing views. The hotel has a lovely rustic roof terrace with even more beautiful views, and we were the only ones to use it during our stay. The air conditioning in our room was very effective.
  : The hotel has no reception of its own, which we weren't advised of beforehand. We had to check in at a smarter hotel across the square where we were told we could get breakfast. We discovered as we checked out that this hotel has a garden on the Grand Canal where that breakfast would have been - wish we'd known!Our room was extremely small and the curtains were just ornamental - too narrow to close so the sun woke us up. The room smelled sweaty and we got bitten while we were there, which unfortunately we thought might be bed bugs (as mentioned by one other reviewer).

  : Not too far a walk from train station, but we hired a porter to transport our suitcases on a cart up & over the large bridge that sits over the Grand Canal plus there was a smaller bridge & canal to cross before we got to our hotel. The porters swarm the train station exits. We negotiated a price of 20 euros for out 2 suitcases. Well worth it.
