  : We appreciated being offered a choice of two rooms on arrival and opted for the one with the garden view at the back of the property rather than the one facing the street at the front. We liked the location in a quiet rural village. We enjoyed a stroll around the town and met some very friendly locals. The room was a good size and tastefully decorated as is the entire house, furnished with well-chosen period decorative items and furniture. A very comfortable, super-clean room. Clearly a much - cared for house. Unfortunately, we arrived shortly after all the woodwork had been re-painted throughout and there was a slighly unhealthy lingering smell of paint all through the house. Understandably, maintenance has to happen but as a traveller with allergies I would have appreciated prior warning of this.
  : Breakfast was a surprisingly poor affair both in terms of what was offered and in terms of customer care how it was offered... We were curtly asked "What do you want? Coffee?Toast?". Slightly taken aback we said yes to both as we found the approach a little off-putting. How are guests supposed to guess what is available? NOTE: This was the 16th property we stayed at in nearly a whole month of touring Spain - no other hotel, hostal, posada took this odd approach. So, out came some rather muddy coffee and 3 toasted slices of baguette per person with a few individual mini-portions (20g?) of industrially produced jam. Adequate but rather meagre. (Also consider why single use plastic containers in rural countryside??? Eco-credetials could be improved.) This being the middle of a countryside community we had expected a small sample of local artisanally produced specialities at breakfast - especially as there are several places offering local Sobaos Passiegos in the vicinity, local honey / jam / cheese. Maybe even some zumo or fruta would be nice. The owners offer cheap acommodation but could usefully consider whether to offer a more varied breakfast - even at an extra charge I think many guests would appreciate that. Then, towards the end of our breakfast the second of the two partners who run this B&B came cheerfully bouncing into the dining room (to collect a caged bird) inquiring "Did we not want eggs?"... Double surprise!

  : Gorgeous little boutique hotel in the quaint village of Vega de pas. Nice little balconies outside the rooms and the place is filled with quirky treasures and spanish touches. Comfy beds, nice atmosphere. No onsite retaurant and I never usually book without this but the cafe/restaurant just a few steps down the raod is so good it's worth overlooking that! We have now stayed twice in two months because we liked it so much. Breakfast is simple toast, juice and coffee but nicely prepared and served. Hosts are lovely.
  : Extra pillows available would be really good, i like to read and found the one supplied was inadequate. More choice at breakfast would be nice in case you're feeling really hungry - we were'nt as we ate so much the night before!
