: The location was excellent if your goal is to visit the parks nearby. Very easy to get in and out. Our host, Robert, provided the information needed to check in. There is a nice 18-hole mini golf area a couple minutes walk from the unit. When we found no dishwasher detergent, the host was responsive and had it delivered the next afternoon. We only had to hand wash dishes for 2 of our 8 meals (for a family of 5). The kitchen is stocked with the things necessary to cook full meals. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. The entire unit was clean. There were dressers in the bedrooms to store clothing and the sheets were soft, clean, and comfortable. This is an end unit, and it had enough windows to let in sunlight for all the rooms. The view is nothing to write home about, and yet it is nice to be able to see outside and open windows to let fresh air in. There were a couple of games/diversions available for play. The washer/dryer came in handy since hiking can get a bit dirty, especially for the little ones.
: For the price of over $300/night, I expected more. Mostly, I expect nicer/cleaner carpet and better beds. The carpet was dingy and worn, and we did not feel comfortable with our children lying on the floor or rolling around on the floor. The beds had very poor support, and for the adults, our backs were hurting within a day or two. On the last day, I had the bright idea of sleeping only on the outer edge of the king bed, which helped a lot since that portion was not sagging. The toilets had pressurized tanks that were very loud when flushed which was terrible for night-time potty needs. My younger kids didn't love that... they were also not quite able to flush it on their own. The supplied paper towel roll in the kitchen was a mostly used roll with only a few sheets left. Glad my husband had the foresight to bring a roll of our own. We had to bother the host in requesting dishwasher detergent since there was none (as stated above, he responded as quickly as he was able, which was appreciated). Almost all the pots and pans are non-stick, which is nice, and yet prior guests may not take care of them very well, so the non-stick coating is a bit scratched on the frequently used items. Also for the price, which included a $118 cleaning fee, I would expect the cleaning crew to take care of the cleaning, not necessarily asking guests to make piles of used linens and towels, take out the trash, and load and start the dish washer. These were not terrible inconveniences, and yet this is not someone else's living space. This is very obviously a unit used specifically for rental purposes. If the carpet was clean and comfortable and the beds provided better support, I would give this place a 7 or 8.
