: Alder cottage was the perfect getaway for the two of us. Great location for exploring the redwoods and sitting out enjoying the view of the pacific ocean listening to the seals. The bed was the most comfortable bed probably than my own at home!!

: The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of cookware and dishes to allow you to prepare whatever you were wanting. With a grocery store near by we took advantage!The pull-out coach was very comfortable to sleep on. My kids said it was even more comfortable then some hotel beds.You can see the ocean from the cottage, and had a wonderful viewing point that you could watch and hear the sea lions on the rocks. They had a complimentary pair of binoculars that you could use. We enjoyed looking out over the cliff listening to the waves and watching the activity. The location was amazing! So close to Trinidad, State Parks, and the Redwoods, but yet far enough away you could relax.Would love to come back!
: The cabin would get quite warm during the day, making it difficult to cool down. Only a few windows open, so if you are a cool temp sleeper, this made it a bit more difficult. The pictures show that there could be beach access but there is not. You are up on a cliff overlooking the ocean, with no way to get down. There are local beaches close by though.
