  : We booked the place for 6 nights for a business trip and deeply regretted our decision! They do not clean the rooms unless you ask, but 1) they don't tell you that you must ask, and 2) theres no one to ask (empty reception desk). Our room was extremely dark (as was all the house). The staff was almost non-existent (no one at the reception desk). The room was extremely cold: outside, it was 2 degrees Celsius in the morning, and the heating in our room didnt work. The blankets were so thin that they may be suitable for a hot summer but not for a cold autumn night with no heating in the room. The first two days, we suffered in the cold room. After two cold nights, our business partner called the owner, so while we were outside, he came and managed to switch on the heating. The next evening, the heating didnt work again, and we called the owner to fix it. He came to our room wearing white boxer shorts, looking very professional. He started to fight with us and said everything was our fault because we dared to open the window to get warmer and cleaner air into our cold room. We asked him how this could be a place with 4 stars, and he arrogantly said that we do not understand that this was not a hotel with 4 stars but a pension with 4 stars. He then became aggressive, yelled at us and left the cold room. The following day, when we were in a hurry for the conference where I was the keynote speaker, he told us to leave his place immediately. We said that we would go tomorrow, which is one day earlier, but now we have an essential event to attend in 30 minutes. He said he didnt care, and if we did not leave immediately, he would take all our things and throw them outside on the street. We were really scared of him, so we went to our room, took our things quickly and left. This is by far THE WORST PLACE weve ever been to; we would NEVER come here again and would NEVER recommend this place to anybody.

  : The hotel has a beautiful interior and you can sit behind the hotel very nicely amongst the plants and a tame cat. When we arrived (early), we were served soup and coffee. There were free bottles of water near the entrance.
  : The heating in the bathroom/shower was permanently open and could not be closed. We needed a screwdriver but there was no-one at the entrance of the hotel to ask for it. We tried to counter the heat by turning on the air conditioning, but despite it being loud, it did not change the temperature at all. Our rooms weren't cleaned for 4 days, so we reused the towels for all 4 days. Eventually, after 3 days, we ran out of toilet paper, so we caught the nice cleaning lady, who gave us toilet paper. There was never anyone at the entrance, nor did we see a button to press, so we couldnt ask why our rooms weren't cleaned, our towels weren't washed or our bed sheets weren't washed. I had to shower 3x a day because of the heat problem/failing air conditioning.

  : Breakfast was excellent, lots of things on the plate, great coffee. The staff was very, very kind and accommodating. Did me a huge favor by allowing me access into the room way earlier than scheduled. The location is great for those that can walk, it's in a district with old villas and a lot of greenery, made me think of old towns in the interbellic period. Peaceful and relaxing. Timisoara in spring is a must-see, especially this green area where the hotel is. The room was nice, had fancy furniture, loved the bathroom, half the size of the room and so chic! And it's so quiet I could hear the birds singing.
  : Didn't really fancy the bed, cute, wrought iron framed, firm mattress, but too narrow for somebody not on the thin side. Still, manageable, not something to put me off returning there.
