  : The rooms are in a separate building from the main pub which I liked. The room was comfortable and large with a good bathroom. Hot drink making facilities and a fridge provided. The location is pretty good if you are travelling by car (which I was) as the location is about a couple of minutes from the A19 junction at the North end of Thirsk. Also only about 10 to 15 minutes by car to Sutton Bank and into the North Yorkshire Moors. Travelling by train would be much more difficult. Whilst there is a station at Thirsk it is out of town in completely the opposite direction maybe three miles away. Breakfast was fried up on demand rather than microwaved so that is a definite plus.
  : This isn't a dislike so much as a FYI: I noticed a flier in the room that said that air conditioning was available at an additional charge of £5 per night due to energy costs. As early June 2024 still felt like winter it didn't affect me.

  : We had stayed before, so knew what to expect. The facilities are very good and rooms are spacious. The hotel is excellently situated near major roads, but still quiet.The restaurant is very good (and popular), the menu is large and the chef is great.We were travelling through from Scotland and broke our journey here for one night, but know from previous experience that the locality has many things of interest.
  : Maybe a hand rail over the bath for the shower, but it was not a problem. Everything else was great. I cannot fault anything else.

  : Breakfast could have had beans on it too,Plus, told them three times at check in one guest vegan, he had to settle for beans on toast and one slice of toast ridiculous.Need to tell guest where velux window blind control is at check in
