  : Very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. The owners were amazing. So helpful. Great value. I appreciated the lift to and from the ferry.
  : I would like to have seen more basics supplied for cooking. A chopping board for example and some washing up things.

  : Lovely welcoming accommodation. Peaceful quiet with a lovely view over Pedi. Exceptionally clean and well kept grounds. Family and staff there are really lovely and Franks pick up and drop off at the port is helpful and his wifes breakfast are generous. Will be back

  : Bed were firm. We took the squabs off the day beds and added them to the bed and that worked a treat. I'm not small so found the shower space a bit tight.

  : Enjoyed the pick up and return to the ferry. Great breakfast on the verandah - enjoyed the cooked breakfast and the yogurt. Rooms were cleaned daily.

  : The location. Beautiful view from the terrace. It is on the halfway between the port and peli beach. Walking down to the port or to the beach is around 10-15 minutes. But you don't have to walk back because there is a bus between them in every hour what has a stop close to the accomodation. So it is very convinient. There are restaurants and stores nearby. The breakfast is also fantastic. The owner picks you up and take you back to the ferry. He will also show you where is the closest bus stop, store, restaurant. That is very helpful.
  : When I went there, there were a lot of mosquitoes. Bring or buy some mosquito repellent in the store close by.

  : To be honest, I was surprised by the mostly very positive reviews I had read in advance.Once on site, I can only say that a review is strongly determined by the room in which one stays and not all rooms are identical.What is identical for everyone is the breakfast. That is simply very good. A maximum rating for this.The friendliness and helpfulness of the ladies also deserve praise.It is also convenient that you are picked up at the port and brought back later.As for the room, it consisted of three parts:a bedroom, a room with sitting area, dining table and kitchen and finally a bathroom.The bedroom was sufficiently large, comfortably furnished and had the air conditioning. This made it cool enough for a good night's sleep.In the second room (sitting room, dining room, kitchen) there was no air conditioning. This made it extremely hot and in June it was only 29C outside. It would become much warmer later in the summer.According to the hotel owner, the air conditioning in the bedroom would be sufficient to keep this room cool (with the door between the two rooms open). However, this was certainly not the case. This made it very difficult to stay in this space.Moreover, I came back one evening and noticed that after cleaning the room, the door to the terrace had been left open. That provided much more heat inside. There were also mosquitoes inside. The next morning the explanation was that this was done for ventilation. Wrong choice!Guests staying in a studio don't have the AC problem.The bathroom is quite small and old fashioned. The shower space in particular is simply separated from the bathroom by a curtain, just like in the old days.The shower tap cannot be mounted higher up.It was explained to me that this was to save water. The island has too little water and if the shower tap could be attached somewhere, the guests would spend too long in the shower.It is true that the island has too little water.

  : Frank and his family are the most fabulous hosts and did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our apartment was very spacious, well decorated and had a lovely large patio. The breakfasts at Taxiarchis are amazing - yoghurt with honey and fruit, chocolate croissants, cheese pies, spinach pie, sandwiches, plus the best omelettes you've ever tasted, finished off with a cafetiere of coffee or tea.
  : I can't think of anything except that a lot of the boats in Symi charge a lot more than six years ago!
