  : I've complained to Booking.com and asked for a refund. Very disingenuous to show pictures of a different room and to call the apartment we had one with 'sea view'. You could barely glimpse the sea from the balcony (see pic). We think the pictures were of the rooms opposite to us, on the other side of the house. It was not clean - the floors made our feet dirty and the shower was clogged so water pooled around our ankles. Not enough hot water for 2 people to shower. Host speaks no English, just gave us a single key for the room (not even on a keyring, just the key on its own) and then disappeared. No idea if there was the free WiFi advertised because nothing was explained to us. Not one of the electric sockets would work with our European charger plug and sparks came from a few of the sockets when we plugged it in, and the plastic casing on one socket fell off. Very dodgy electrics clearly. Luckily we could charge one phone using the USB slot in the TV (no working channels on the TV btw) or we would have trouble catching the ferry and Flixbus the next day if not able to show tickets on our phones. The comforter on the bed had stains and a burn mark and no cover on it, and there was no sheet tucked around the mattress; just the comforter on top, and a sheet on top of that, all of which didn't go to the top of the bed (see pics). Only realised when I woke up the next morning that my face had been on the bare mattress all night. Gross! No mattress protector even?! There was dust as well. So unacceptable. I feel completely mugged off. I wasted 76 euros of my hard earned money to sleep in a place that was actually detrimental to my health. Spend your money somewhere else rather. And don't even get me started on the irritating travel agent they use to extract half the deposit up front... I had an amazing stay in a double room with private bathroom in a HOSTEL the next night in Zagreb, for less money.
