  : Lovely setting and beautiful grounds
  : The weekend opening times of the spa and pool are restrictive. I was staying for a weekend retreat and the pool opened at the same time as breakfast and closed by the time the training days were completed. It was a shame that the pool wasn't open earlier/ later so that it could be used to unwind after a long day or to prepare for a training day with an early morning swim. It would be lovely if the pool opening times could be extended when there is an event on at the hotel.

  : Staff were friendly and helpful, food was good, lovely location. Gym was small but fine for what we needed for a quick workout, pool was lovely but steam room wasn’t on.
  : There was a very loud bootcamp at 6.30am outside our room window so we didn't get a very rested night.

  : The staff were very helpful and friendly. They even provided a bed for our dog which I found was a really nice touch. The room was spacious and bright. The spa facilities were excellent and we enjoyed a dip in the pool. We had food in the bar, the food wasn't as good as I had hoped. However we chose the bar area because our dog was allowed to stay with us. I slept well and the bed was comfortable. The facilities were great and my son enjoyed the games room to break up the evening. Breakfast was tasty and a good range of food on offer. The grounds were good for us to walk around and the giant chess board is a nice touch. Overall a wonderful stay and I would stay again.
  : Our room was too far from the reception. We had a dog so we kept having to take him out but walk quite far to do so. I did try to request an accessible room because of my own mobility issues, however none were available, which is fair enough. However I do think if you are staying with a dog, try to request a room closer to reception as there's no other way to get out.

  : Comfortable beds, nice atmosphere in public areas. Breakfast and other meals were generally good.
  : Our shower did not provide hot water at any point throughout the 3 night stay, despite reporting this 3 times. Eventually a duty manager came to look at it, but couldn't do anything. At no point did maintenance come to even look at the problem. The shower mixer would only put out scalding hot or freezing water, so neither were usable for a comfortable washing experience. We were staying for a conference event, so our requirements were a place to sleep, wash and dress. At least a part of this was unfulfilled, yet no recompense was offered despite 4 different conversations. The duty manager seemed to think that reporting the issue to maintenance at the end of our stay was a sufficient response. Clearly, this does not help us in any way. Very disappointing lack of action and accountability from 3 different reception staff and the duty manager.

  : Lovely location and staff were superb.
  : The room could do with a kick of paint around the skirting boards and the toilet seat was wonky. We weren’t told the spa was used by a baby swimming group which meant part of the pool was closed off and parents were sitting watching. Not quite the spa experience we expected.
