  : Beautiful location in nature with superb birdsong in the woodland gardens plus a lovely small beach and beach cafe down the steep hill (useful free lifts provided). Plus great food at Ocean, super comfy beds and best of all, the friendly, kind staff who were all 5 star customer service stars
  : Nothing, though would have liked an outdoor pool.

  : One member of our party required a strict gluten free diet. The hotel accommodated this very well. There were numerous gluten free options available including bread/cereals and muffins. This was greatly appreciated as breakfasts have been very limited at other hotels we have stayed at. We did not have any other meals at the hotel however we did have drinks in the evening and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There appeared to be a good number of staff at the hotel and it was evident that senior members were visible and overseeing the day to day running. There was a sense that the hotel was well managed.
  : No specific concerns. The rooms by the function suite require a short uphill walk. We were made fully aware of this before we arrived and it was not an issue for us.

  : All staff helpful and attentive. Breakfast plentiful. Pool lovely and quiet and warm.
  : Too many stairs. Too little parking. Difficult to leave the parking area - hotel could use mirrors to assist drivers as access road is steep and narrow.

  : Excellent breakfast. Food in main restaurant not to our taste. Would however prefer new potatoes & choice of fish and more than 1 vegetable.
  : Had arranged to be picked up at the airport, but plane was over 2 hours late & no sign of the hotel driver. Also advertised as being able to have a lift to town but this was not even mentioned on arrival. We had to get a taxi. This cost us over 16 . We also had to have a taxi for return to airport as they said driver had a prior booking. So we spent over 30 on using 2 taxis to and from airport, which should not have happened. We used the bus into town each day costing 4 x 1.50, ie 6 a day for 4 days, totalling 24. Walk to bus was up a steep hill. , as was walk to beach, which was exceedingly steep to climb back up.to hotel. Room was on top floor, very hot as maids always opened the bling and let the sun shine into room. No air conditioning which made it too hot too sleep, even with a fan. As pensioners, we feel that perhaps this hotel was not really suitable. We are reasonably fit and not disabled.

  : It was a bit difficult to go out as shuttle was rarely running when we were there. Breakfast was poor.

  : We had a wonderful time staying at Fermain Valley. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made it a pleasure to use the bar, restaurants and tea room. The hotel is ideal for setting off on coastal walks and the bus stop is conveniently located 300 yards from the hotel. We would definitely use again and recommend the hotel to friends and family.
  : The pavement isn't very wide where you have to wait for the bus. Traffic passes quite close to you and there is nowhere to shelter if it's raining. However, the hotel does offer use of it's own shuttle service if you need to go into the main town.
