Tropic Terrace #40 - Beachfront Rental condo

  : The exterior/grounds/pool/landscaping at Tropic Terrace are second to none. Very clean and well kept - and just gorgeous. Our unit, #40 had a very nicely updated kitchen, comfy beds and hot showers! We loved the location on the Treasure Island trail and took many walks. We would definitely consider another stay at Tropic Terrace. We had a great week despite the negatives. I am giving it a 9 - because it was great and could have been awesome without the window installation. :)
  : Unfortunately for us, there was a crew replacing windows at Tropic Terrace the ENTIRE week. Our unit had the new windows already but below us and all around the pool, it was constant sawing and drilling and SO, SO noisy. Really, the opposite of relaxing. I understand that maintenance has to happen sometime, but we received no heads up that this was going to take place and it really did take away from our "paradise" experience that I am sure others feel at Tropic Terrace. Additionally, the pool has no lights (in or around) for swimming after dark, even though the pool hours stated it was open until 11pm. Specific to our unit, #40, some surfaces did not appear to have been cleaned well (dining room chairs, coffee table, side tables) and while there was a broom in the unit, there was no dust pan so we weren't able to keep the floors clean, which is not great with all the sand. We also had to buy some supplies when we arrived, toilet paper, trashbags, etc because the unit was not well stocked. We didn't try to contact anyone, because I was honestly not sure who to contact. The ownership/management/operation of it was all very confusing. If you are styaing in unit #40, do not underestimate how small the bathroom is. The sink is tiny, and we were unable to use it for washing faces/brushing teeth. We had to use the kitchen for this. We are a small family of 3, but if you had all the beds in this place filled, the bathoom would be chaos. It would also be great to have a central towel exchange. I washed the towels we were given twice during our stay.
