  : Filthy bedding with makeup and cum on the sheets and quilt cover. Thick Dust everywhere damage to most of the furniture and big hole in bath panel switches hanging off the walls and light fitting hanging down and broken. Bedside tables where old hostess trolleys which where broken. Unmanned building and could only speak to owners over the phone. Entrance had holes in the door and was rotten. No parking available

  : Having to wait over 2 hours to check in eventually going to another hotel for 2 nights at my cost. Room was never cleaned and needed painting and repairs. Constantly People knocking on the door trying to get someone to check them in or find a room and then going elsewhere. Live in housekeeper entered the room later at night without knocking the place is too dreadful for words.

  : No breakfast no security room not cleaned has there was burn mark on curtain empty meth bottle female hair brush from other people stay plus door was damaged not secured plus 2x young adults smoking weed fire alarm going off took over 45 mins for landlords to turn up with no apologies plus fire content out off date no fire engine has there not connected to local fire department when the landlords turned just walked into building to turn alarm off without saying anything so also quite a few people turned up saw the state of hotel left for other accommodation we had to stay at family house has unbearable to sleep there especially safety of my family paramount has my son had disability obviously run down building and landlords hate women being accused of false advertising not a very happy stay or money refund is paramount has amount for stay unacceptable

  : En route to Beverley from Scotland to see a client's play, I suddenly thought what a good idea it would have been to book a room somewhere instead of having to drive on to York after the show. So, I went onto booking.com and Minster Garth was the first option. The reviews were awful, but there was one room available at 30 so, quite frankly, I was prepared for the worst and did not mind if the property was as dull as rated. However, I was very pleasantly surprised! I had not seen the photo that I've just seen on the page. If I had, that would have been a disappointment, but the exterior is currently being revamped (this does not impact you, sleepy traveller). What I did find was a clever keyless entry; good communication; an ideal, quiet location with parking nearby, and the big, very clean room 4 with a beautiful big bathroom...with a bath! I was expecting a tiny room with shower, so was amazed. I love that it was so close to the theatre too, which I hadn't realised. I could have walked there. The room was warm. The water was hot. The bed was comfy, and I felt so pleased with myself for my inspiration. Great facilities with coffee, tea, and an iron and ironing board. And the cathedral round the corner was a touch of magic. I would absolutely return!
  : The bath plug was loose, which meant the water ran out of the bath. The exterior front door was heavy and I found it hard to open from the inside. A handle would be helpful for such weaklings as myself. I could not turn down the heat as the radiator knob was missing.

  : It was dark, I had not recieved an email with details of how to access the property. When I finally got access to the building, there was no light on the stairs, I had to use the light on my phone to see. I had difficulty putting in the code to get my room key, the numbers were hard to see. There was no milk for tea or coffee.
