  : Easy access and parking
  : The bed did not have a bottom sheet, but instead had a valance that moved as you turned during the night. The towels were so thin I wouldnt have used them to dry the dogs with! The shower spewed water everywhere. The stair carpet was filthy. The breakfast ingredients could not have been any cheaper and were all cooked in cheap oil.

  : Hospitality of the owner was exceptional, any problems or requests were attended to straight away.
  : Shower cubicle was too small, toilet too close to a wall and the whole of the shower room was far too small. I believe that the property was in need of a refurbishment, but for the short stay we had it was satisfactory. The owner was an extremely good cook and invited us to evening meals when he was doing them and they were beautiful.

  : The host was lovely and meant well. My sister does have social anxiety so she struggled with him at breakfast time when he was stood talking whilst trying to eat and making comments she was unsure how to respond to. We were upgraded to the larger room on top floor with extra bed and en suite. Host was accommodating and even offered to make us dinner in the evening if we wanted him to. We had a little fridge in our room to which was a pleasant surprise.
  : The place seemed to be noisy. Very creaky floorboards, it sounded like someone was playing drums at 1am, you could hear people talking underneath and every door opening and closing. The property is very dated which isn't really a huge issue but cleanliness wasn't brilliant which is a bit of a sting for me and my OCD. It's a big house with lots of rooms and it seems maybe only the owner is doing everything by himself and it may be to big a task I'm not sure.

  : Bernard (the host) does a superb breakfast and he also accommodated my request for packed lunches. Nothing too much trouble for him and very chatty; made me feel very welcome. Room had all the basics you could ever need, including a fridge. The property is in a really nice location with a selection of pubs nearby, and is situated close to the M42. Off-road parking is a bonus, too.
  : If I was to be picky, the curtains weren't quite wide enough for the window in the room I had when they're shut. Also, I would've preferred a bath to a shower but that's just personal preference.

  : AVOID at all COSTS and possibly with your life at risk. For your own mental and physical wellness, I would advise to read all reviews, I am not sure why this accommodation is still actually listed publicly. EXTREMELY Abusive owner on the phone, in person and via email correspondence. Its advertised as a NO pet house but the owner has a dog that roams around the house freely - There is a big black dog in the house - Dead rat and rat droppings in the room - Sheets are stained - Mouldy room corner - Towels have stains and holes in - Dogs hair on towels - Dogs hair in bed - No key to lock the room where you sleep - Hair on bathroom floor - All surfaces have not been cleaned - On booking.com site it says no pets but there is a big black dog there - Cleanliness is non existentReasons not to stay here - The OWNER of the property is VERY inconsiderate, aggressive & not a pleasant human being. READ all reviews on GOOGLE & TRIP adviser reviews before booking if you don't believe me!! I had to check into a Premier in for the weekend. (Also Booking.com will not give you a refund if you request it as they need to get the refund from the owner whether you stayed there or decided that it was too dirty or dangerous to stay & the owner probably has done this many times before and has gotten away with it. I have no idea what this is still up on Booking.com) I was offered a good will gesture of 15 by Booking.com as the owner has refused to return payment to them. This shows how Booking.com really look after their long standing customers. This is the last time I will ever use Booking.com

  : We where attending a funeral and this place was only a short drive to crematorium. Also close to Knowle where there is lots of eateries and shops.Set in lovely quiet street.Good breakfast.
  : We felt this place was in need of a deep clean. Carpets in particular need cleaned or changed. Furnishings and fittings very dated. Towels and bedding seemed really old, need changed.

  : Great location to access NEC - short drive and pass supermarket before motorway to stock up on food. Breakfast was great - cereal then hot full english or sausage/bacon sandwich with hot drink. Other residents friendly and overall welcoming. Bernard will be as helpful as he can and give idea's where to eat locally for evening meal etc. Competitive price - had kettle in room with tea bag/coffee + offered milk jug and plenty of hot water for shower.
  : A little dated in places - its homely, but not hotel standards - if you are fussy, its not for you.
