  : Westmark Inn is located in the heart of downtown Sitka. The place is clean. The hotel provides a shuttle to the airport. Also, the hotel staff is helpful. I could easily walk around the downtown area.
  : The hotel restaurant was not open for breakfast. But please note that I traveled during the pandemic, and places are all short on staff. There is a coffee shop, Highland Cafe, across from the hotel that has excellent coffee.

  : LIKEs: 1) LOCATION - best location & view in town! RM. 3082) EARLY ARRIVAL / CHECK-IN - we arrived @ Noon and were allowed to check in. Since we had been traveling throughout the night. This was wonderful! 3) LATE-CHECK OUT - extended from 11AM to NOON.
  : DISLIKES: 1) COVID outbreak was centered in Sitka the week leading up to our arrival; huge numbers for such a small town. Called the hotel several times the day before we travelled and no one answered. I left messages and no one returned our call. 2) REPAIRS. Window screens were torn and/or didn't fit. A fan had been placed in the room to offset the record heat that week. A previous comment was made online regarding this room, I think! Repairs? RM. 3083) STRONG ODOR. Room had strong cigarette smell in it. Linens may have also smelled of smoke. Hard to believe no one has noticed these things. We weren't sure where the smell was coming from, RM. 308. 4) RESTAURANT. We had to wait one hour for our food. On Friday, there was only one waitress when we first arrived (3:15PM), and by the time we left there were 3 waitresses (4:30PM). The first waitress had a great attitude and was outstanding in trying to manage it all.
