  : Our hosts left a complementary breakfast for the first day, after which we catered for ourselves in a well equipped kitchen.
  : The local roads were not for the faint-hearted! Nothing anyone can do about that.

  : The bed was extremely comfortable, and having the ability to make tea was excellent. The privacy and quiet made the stay very relaxing.
  : The room had a few mosquitos, and the bathroom was not properly clean. On the very first night when I went to the bathroom, the toilet was smelling. Due to the mosquitos, I had to cover myself what made my rest a little more uncomfortable than it could have been.

  : We knew before we stayed, but you really need a car if you stay here. The location with lovely views and walks was excellent
  : Host could have been more clear about how and when to pay the tourist tax. We just left the money on the table.

  : The 18th-century farmhouse bedroom was a glimpse into history, however it came with its share of challenges. The dampness and mould in the room gave it a rustic, weathered charm and made the air heavy and uncomfortable. Not all windows had mosquito netting and those that did had gaps needing repair. Mosquitoes buzzed and feasted on our blood relentlessly, making sleep a true test of patience. On the bright side, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, offering a peaceful reprieve from the room's shortcomings. However, the garden and track to the car outside was marred by dog poo, which was quite the unpleasant sight.All in all, staying in this farmhouse bedroom was an interesting experience for history enthusiasts, but not for those seeking modern comforts.

  : Really nice location, with great views, on the touristic bus route that travels around Sintras Places/Castles.
  : Originally Booked the stay before Covid, so had to cancel. Rebooked, but seems the owners had changed. No longer any home-grown foods or meals (no B/Fast either). Host a but cold.

  : Location a few km/12 mins drive out of town was perfect. The whole setting is extremely tranquil, especially compared to the insane crowds in Sintra. Good selection of markets/restaurants/beaches nearby in the other direction. Beautifully restored old buildings, verdant gardens, and distant views of the sea. Room simply and tastefully decorated, augmented by a generously sized and equipped eat in kitchen. There was no breakfast (some past posts are out of date) but kitchen was extremely well stocked with mostly homemade makings of breakfast.
