  : We had a suite with a private yard. The bed was large. The breakfast was very good. Parking across the street was easy and free. Proximity to Siena was close yet you felt far away. The olive garden provided a tranquil setting. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The decor was interesting!
  : When I booked this was our most expensive hotel (suite) so I had expected this to be our favorite place. It ended up not meeting our expectations and certainly not as our most expensive on our 16-day trip. We had other hotels in Tuscany blow the doors off this place for hundreds of dollars less per night. For $600 US a night, we were shocked to learn that a request for an omelet or egg whites was an upcharge at breakfast. Also the exterior grounds were not 5 star. They were like 3rd world country run down. The luster was off the pearl here. But the price was that of a 5-star hotel without a gym or some of the amenities you would expect of a finer hotel. We had planned to dine at the hotel while there 2 days, but the menu looked very funky to us. So we drove into Siena proper to eat both nights.
