  : We particularly liked the ambience with a variety of scented flowers in the different garden areas. As we had "climbed" the small hill to the hotel from Siena railway station in hot summer the staff engaged a lot in our needs. Such as local buses and where to have an evening meal. If we ever think of coming back it is even more the neighbouring restaurant ,"Il Jolly" that has the magnetic effect! Wonderful and affordable meals within the walls that tell nothing about this gem! No wonder it is well frequented. The amenities: The decent sized room has really comfortable beds, the shower and rest room were ok. Extra plus for kettle and tea. For a hotel of this size the breakfast offering was decent but not luxurious.
  : Unfortunately we did not realize that the hotel is located next to two busy roads. This is nothing the hotel can be blamed for, but it did impair our sleep significantly. However one of us is generally a bad sleeper in most hotels. Others might not bother!We missed a proper desk.
