The White Hart Hotel

  : The White Hart is situated in the centre of Shefford and so is perfect for access to all local amenities. The hotel had a car park. The 'Doombar' was a good pint. The two girls behind the bar where engaging and seemed to love their work. Their enthusiasm for their work made the evening worthwhile.
  : The hotel and the room were both tired and in need of a facelift. I was unaware that the hotel offered food. I never saw anyone eating in the hotel area and never saw any advertisements for food. If the hotel offered cooked food then it was not obvious.

  : Roy was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our stay with many options for food and drink at the inn and nearby.
  : There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom, no ironing board (we had outfits for a wedding we were attending and luckily were able to de-wrinkle our clothing at a relatives house nearby.) The drain in the shower was clogged so needed to be mindful of the water level in the shower so we didn't flood the bathroom. The bed was the worst part. Could feel the springs in the double sized bed and parts of it had no support at all. Left us both tired and stiff in the morning. I know the building is centuries old and I love the charm of that, but it doesn't mean you have to provide authentic ammenities and sleep experience as well.

  : the room we were in was a little run down and a bit cold also bear in mind it is in a pub so quite noisy until the pub closes.

  : It was very clean and surprisingly quiet. Good sized room. Tea and coffee making facilities.
  : Don't serve breakfast, but hadn't noticed on the booking form that they don't. No bon to put sanitary towels and other rubbish in the bathroom. The bed has certainly seen better days. Worse of all when we went to leave there is a door in front of the fire door and It was locked, though we had a key. Not the sort of thing you want to discover at 4am and the fire alarm has gone off.
