  : Warning: I got scammed after booking a room here on booking.com. After booking the room, which was due to be paid upon arrival, I received a message from the hotel on booking.com, instructing me to validate my card details before check in. Money was then stolen from my bank account. The hotel denied all responsibility, despite the message having come from their own account on booking.com, claiming it had nothing to do with them. At the very least, they could have apologised, even if unwilling to accept full responsibility. But instead, they chose to insinuate that it was my fault for clicking the link in the message I received from *their account*. A nasty experience made worse by the hotel's refusal to accept even the small amount of responsibility needed to simply apologise for the situation.
