  : I got shut out of the unit because of a faulty sliding door. Was outside from 9:30 pm until a locksmith was finally able to open it just before 1 am.

  : Seabrook Island is a bit of Paradise, so just being inside the gate on the Island was able to off set any of the deficiencies of the Villa.
  : I will qualify my statements with the fact that I have owned rental property on Seabrook Island for over 30 years so do understand the market. Even though it was the 4th of July week end, the Unit was quite overpriced for the quality of the unit. The unit itself was more like an $80.00 per night Super 8 than a $300.00 + per night vacation villa. The first impression of the dated and spotted carpet upon entering sets the stage for an extra critical look. The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been in the very visible area around the tub outside bottom, and although the furnishings seemed dated, they were functional. The only inexcusable thing we encountered was the mildew on the shower curtain. A simple spraying of mildew cleaner curs that and it made me wonder how through they were on everything else. However, the fact that Seabrook Island itself is so wonderful it is possible to view the accommodations as a means to the end, and enjoy the Island. All that being said, it is still Seabrook and if you want to be near the gate and Island House, Courtside is a good location, and everything else to enjoy seems to offset some of the accommodations shortcomings.
