  : Very convenient location to Scarborough town centre. Plenty of paid parking options nearby. Probably one of best views in Scarborough if the hotel was cared for but the windows are full of bird poo so slightly ruins what’s could be a gem. Stunning architecture and you can see the history but again not looked after.
  : This hotel reception has major accessibility concerns, not suitable for disabled or impaired people. Poorly signed posted around the hotel reception. Too much over sized furniture blocking entrance ways. When arriving at the hotel at the required check-in time I was made to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes to check in with reception in a queue of people which wrapped around the hotel ground floor it was poorly managed there was only 4 members of staff and probably a queue of around 80 people. No one was managing the queue at the back end or helping direct people where to go which meant people were getting queue jumped. My sister who was with me has a temporary impairment of a broken foot no one was around to discuss accessibility issues nor was there any signs up on entry of disability access. We received no apology from reception for the wait we had to endure only to be told in future to arrive before 1pm even though booking.com stated check in was after 15.00 pm. Reception staff were overwhelmed and didn’t even explain where or how breakfast worked for the following day it also didn’t state this in the room either so we had to figure this out for ourselves. On top of this the hotel reception was dirty and unclean empty beer glasses and wine bottles scattered around, as for the rooms they were also very dirty mould in bathroom, blocked sink in bathroom, filthy windows that smelled of bird poo, Breakfast also very underwhelming half of the breakfast room looks like it’s currently being refurbed floor is all dug up. The surfaces by the tea coffee facilities were very dirty, windows filthy with what could be an incredible view but this ruined by seagull pool and dead insects on windowsills, they were some windows open and a women was feeding a seagull from the window which is just not what should be encouraged. There is what could be a beautiful sun terrace but sadly again full of seagull poo and cigarettes butts.

  : Check in queues were terrible, public toilets were very smelly. No bar staff in the bar. No WiFi or phone signal in our room. A key with the Hotel name and room number on it is advertising where all your belongings are.

  : Great location and faded grandeur. Super spot to view the sea while having brekkie. All staff canny and helpful
  : Scruffy and shabby and unclean in places - window sills full of dust, skirting boards filthy. However bedding and towels crisp and clean. It’s a massive hotel.
