  : We were looking for somewhere you could happily hang out in for days if you needed to, as well as being a base for trips out. Stable Cottage was perfect for this. Modern spec, warm and cozy, full size kitchen, and an insanely comfy reclining sofa. Clearly an incredible amount of work has gone into transforming this building. Host communication was great, and made us feel confident under the Covid-19 circumstances that this was a clean and safe place to stay. The location was ideal for exploring the moors and coastline, as well as easy access by car or bus to Whitby and Scarborough. We were sad to leave.
  : Not much of a gripe, but the cottage was too warm to begin with. It took a while to realise the heat was coming from the floor and a couple of days to experiment with the three thermostats before it was cool enough to sleep comfortably. Some instructions for underfloor heating novices would have been helpful. Much better than being cold though!
