  : The en suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms upstairs was not good, couldn,t have a stand up shower. The downstairs toilet lid kept falling down.

  : Lovely cottage, my daughter (age 4) loved it and really enjoyed staying there. Having a house was a lot easier for us to stay in as a family than a hotel/B&B situation. The house was very clean, tidy and well provisioned. The location in Seamer was perfect for trips into Scarborough and nearby sites. The local affiliated pub and village shop were also lovely augments to our overall experience.
  : Check-in was not smooth sailing. The phone contact details on booking.com are for the closed pub affiliated to the guest houses. We eventually found at the end of the answering machine message it said to go to the other pub inn check in desk but I gave up on my first phone call so didn't hear it. It had been raining a mammoth amount and was still going. So after a long busy drive I had to leave my wife and child in the car and go wandering in the rain and asking around - which is not ideally what you want to be doing on holiday - so my biggest piece of feedback is make this information more obvious e.g. at the start of the answering machine message, or update the phone number on booking.com, and/or put up a sign at the closed pub directing you where to go instead.

  : Service was quite indifferent. I left things there and emailed but it took longer than usual for them to respond and work with the cleaner. It felt like they didn't really put their mind to it. I've stayed in many places before and Occasionally I forget a few items but always get them back, no matter how small they are. I'm quite disappointed with the way they handle and respond to me. A good place to stay should have professional managers and customer care.
