  : The room was very nice. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast with good choices. The breakfast room had an interesting history. Overall I liked it very much.
  : No dinner option, and on a Sunday, it is always a challenge to find an open restaurant. Options were only a 2-star Michelin across the street, a Kebab hole-in-the-wall option and a Pizza restaurant. There was no middle ground. We opted for the Pizza and food was great. Coming back to the hotel for a last glass of wine, and the hotel bar was closed already.

  : We liked two things about this establishment. The breakfast was delicious & the sole member of staff (that we saw during our stay) was very pleasant & helpful.
  : When we arrived at about 19.30 there was no receptionist & no staff that we could find in the entire hotel. We had to phone the hotel several times before someone answered & eventually the receptionist arrived to check us in. We wasted about 15 minutes waiting around in the reception. Our room was pleasant enough but it faced a very busy main road. Large lorries thundered by throughout our stay. We had to keep our bedroom windows closed to lessen the noise & as a result our room was stiflingly hot. Neither of us sleep much. The hotel desperately needs investment in refurbishment, staffing, double glazing for the rooms facing the main road & air-conditioning. We were disappointed that the Group owing the best hotel in Saulieu would let the standards of their second hotel fall so low.

  : Convenient for our next days stop; also staff were very helpful - we were to arrive late, they suggested and with our approval, made a dinner reservation for us nearby.
  : Tired room, very small and when we opened the window for ventilation got cigarette smoke from below.

  : A great hotel to experience Saulieu. Great views from our room onto the historic Route Nationale 6 and other historical sights of the "ville d'etappe" Saulieu. One really feels like living there. Great look of the hotel lobby and bar. Great French breakfast.
  : I didnt like that I had to leave again! I am in love with Saulieu. I love that historic Route National 6 vibe
