This resort hotel sits on 23 acres of beachfront property surrounded by the history and tropical scenery of Sanibel Island. Two on-site restaurants and in-room spa services are available. The spacious suites at Casa Ybel Resort all feature a private balcony with views of the Gulf of Mexico. Suites are equipped with an iPod docking station a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. The historic Thistle Lodge Restaurant was once visited by American inventors Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. A variety of Floridian European and Asian specialties are served including lobster bisque and yellowtail snapper. Coconuts a poolside bar and grill offers burgers fish sandwiches and drinks.
