Quality Inn University near Downtown

  : Only the location. It was close proximity to a variety of restaurants and the San Marcos outlet stores.
  : This Quality Inn location was not an Inn of Quality. Property certainly does not live up to its name. Parking is limited so you need to make sure you are back from excursions prior to 6pm. It was always a challenge and a sense of urgency to go out for food etc and return before 6pm to acquire a parking spot within close range of your assigned room. This Inn has outside corridors so if you plan to stay here, be sure to inspect the assigned room first before unloading your things into the room. We didn’t do this so we noticed the room door was not a secure fit at the bottom of the door. There was an opening at the bottom of the door, left side mostly where bugs, flies, crawly things could enter the room without you knowing. Every time we needed to utilize the toilet, we noticed we had to inspect it first for bugs/small roaches crawling on the inside of it above the waterline. We didn’t walk with bare feet on the carpet because of our concern we might step on a crawly thing and not know it until it was too late. Did we report it? Yes we did, right after we checked in. Front desk attendant came to the room with a large white bath towel to cover the space at the bottom of the door in hopes to keep the outside crawly and flying things from coming in. The attendant told us someone would come the next morning to check it out since it was already end of day 5pm. No one came. Was this comfort? No. Next, Hotel personnel were not monitoring outdoor trash cans to keep them free of excessive trash. You know what’s next when that happens, customers will start to place trash outside the trash can and they did, pizza boxes etc. Next, the flies and bees were buzzing around it. Yikes! Is there more? Yes. Housekeeping has no eye for detail when prepping the room for the next guest otherwise they would have replaced the torn shower curtain in the bathroom and made sure there was a portable tub stopper.

  : The fridge wasn’t working. They ran out of clean towels, had to go ask 2 cleaning ladies for some. The microwave had a short, I had to move the plug in order for it to work.

  : Room rates are to high and the breakfast was a joke. And who requests room cards to be returned for re usage this day and age.
