  : Room was very cold and took a long time to warm up. Bathroom was freezing with no heating - not even a heated towel rail to help dry towels. Only make your own instant coffee with breakfast.

  : The staff were very friendly. Very nice people. The room was clean. Good parking. Very quiet. The shower pressure was good.
  : The evening meal was OK, not the best food, and I wouldn't specifically go back to eat there, but was not bad and was enough to satisfy our hunger. The service was good though. The room was ok, a bit cold perhaps, but only at first. We were warm enough at night. The TV was far too high up and the screen was not really visible. The mattress could do with a topper and the pillows were thin. But it was all fresh and clean. And we slept OK on it (we are in our 40's and used to wild camping). The duvet was also thin, but a wool blanket was provided in a cupboard which kept us toasty in bed. The worst part of our stay was the breakfast. Truly the worst full English I've ever had. Nothing on that plate was particularly edible, the sausage tasted of.... I can't even describe it, dry sawdust, if that is even possible. A very small pot of very cheap tasting and looking brown sauce was also disappointing. (I have noted this was mentioned in a few other reviews as well). The menu was very limited as well, basically toast, kellogs cereal and the full English. The coffee was cheap nescafe packets, which I've not seen in a hotel breakfast for over a decade. Filter coffee is pretty much standard these days, so surprised us. I am not sure how this has Very good breakfast advertised, as this was the polar opposite, sadly. The information in the room was sadly lacking, regarding breakfast, wifi, menus and check out details etc. Except for the safety and fire procedures. In Summary: It's a good place to stay for the night, but it could be better with improved pillow and comfier mattresses. But don't expect much when it comes to the food and avoid the breakfast.

  : Lovely light airy room with a comfy bed and large well lit bathroom. A yummy dinner of gammon steaks and chicken curry (could have been a bit spicier) .Plenty of tea and coffee in our room and a delicious full English breakfast to wake up to. Lovely views of the church next door, all in all a very relaxing nights stay steeped in history.
  : There was nothing I didn't like but I would have appreciated a hairdryer.
