  : Nice hotel next to a canal, lovely lobby with a reception. Fairly clean room with clean bathroom.
  : The hand soap dispenser wasn’t working or was empty, we only had a single sachet of shower gel and shampoo for each person meaning if we didn’t want our room cleaned the next day which we didn’t want, we’d be out of shower gel and shampoo. Also there was less than a half of toilet roll which also ran out quickly. Slippers provided were of the cheapest quality, plasticky and slid across the carpet easily. Two of the three table lamps didn’t work I suspect that lamp bulbs were gone but who knows. We like to lay in bed until 10-11 but had the cleaning lady knock on the door every morning asking if we wanted to have the room cleaned. Second day I left the sign asking for the room to be cleaned, they only made the bed with half an effort and nothing was replenished in the bathroom, so we had to buy our own shampoo and shower gel. Also for whatever reason if we wanted to use a public swimming pool, we had to book it one day before which added to inconvenience and in the end we didn’t bother. The interior design was dated and in dire need of refresh. No mini bar, the fridge was empty. If you want to stock it you have to let them know beforehand and leave a deposit. Being a foreigner I had to pay local tax/surcharge of 150 rubles which isn’t a big deal but I wish this information was included in the booking. I researched this and it looks like only Neptun hotel takes this fee. Connection to WiFi is incredibly complicated and despite being able to finish the registration we had many occurrences where WiFi while connected wouldn’t work. Registration page on many occasions gave us an error or the registration call wouldn’t come through. I’m staying in a hotel in Moscow now and the connection to WiFi is performed by simply providing my room number and my surname, connects with no issues.
